If you are into off-roading and Jeeping, you probably know how valuable a high lift jack is. Of course, if your jack sinks down into the ground, it kind of defeats the purpose of having one. A simple yet effective piece of equipment is a jack plate. It allows you to disperse the downward force of the jack over a larger area of ground.
The Plastix Plus Jack Plate, or PPJP, is a simple, yet highly effective piece of equipment to add to your arsenal of off-roading tools. There are a few options out there, so what makes ours the best choice? For one, the HDPE material used to make the PPJP is virtually indestructible. It resists UV rays, freshwater, saltwater, mud, gas, diesel, oil, hydraulic/transmission fluids, etc. Unlike wood and metal, HDPE will not rot, fade, warp, rust, peel or split.
The plate is made from 3/4" thick material and is extremely impact resistant. However, at 3/4" thick, it stores much easier than some of the other plates available, which can be up to 3" thick! There are also no small grooves or "gunk cubby's" to allow dirt and mud to get crammed into. We have integrated a hole in one corner to allow a 1/2" thick rope of your choice to go through. Add a couple of feet, and be able to pull your plate out of the mud without having to get your hands too dirty. The recessed jack receiver section in the middle is 1/4" deep to help prevent your jack foot from sliding out. It has also been sized to fit every jack we had available with our local Jeep group of over 1,000 members!
